Welcome to the Mad River Ski Club Junior Race Program!
We’re looking forward to a great 2008-2009 ski season. The program is for children ages 6-14 (6 by 1/1/2009), with previous skiing experience. The focus of the program is on developing fundamental skiing skills in a positive, fun, and exciting atmosphere that will promote a life long love of skiing. Participants will spend most of their time working on technique with experienced coaches and free skiing on Mad River’s famous terrain. Race training and participation in scheduled races are also important aspects of the program. Along with developing skiing skills, the skiers will learn the positive aspects of competition, including: setting and pursuing goals, the value of hard work, teamwork and good sportsmanship. The program focuses on developing great skiers because great skiers become successful racers!
